This is such a useful book. Karen North is an expert at choosing and arranging music for less experienced players and here there are over fifty solos, duets and trios for younger ones to enjoy. The range of music is impressive. Favourite carols are interspersed with those from other countries to make a really interesting mix, and music from other festivals such as Halloween, the Japanese Cherry Blossum Festival and Hanukkah expand the life of the book beyond December. The recordings are excellent and easily accessible too, so this really would make a great present for any budding flute player!
