Our Description
Weeping Willow, like many of Scott Joplin’s compositions, is a gentle, strolling, “sashaying” number.
Once you have become familiar with the timing and then the fingering, relax and let the music flow. If you relax and don’t rush the music the beautiful, lilting melodies will captivate you.
Try to find the wistful, almost sad feeling which suggests a “weeping willow”. The more familiar you are with the music, the easier it is to relax.
Difficulty guide: 3
