From the Publisher
Voices of Australia (2002) was composed during a residence at the EMU (Electronic Music Unit), University of Adelaide, Australia, for the flautist and composer Ivan Bellocq.
This piece combines voices recorded during a party in the Australian bush, and a flute imitating songs of six Australian birds (Brolga, Crested Bellbird, Southern Boobook, Chiming Wedgebill, Fan-tailed Cuckoo and Whip Bird) slowly submerged by the voices - indefinitely in playful loops. - Geneviève Mathon.
