This is a simple piece of writing which delivers much more than it looks to do on the page. Opening with an unaccompanied bird call, the melody floats around in a pleasingly unstructured and romantic way, always supported by gentle piano chords. The change to the major at the end is endearing. This is beautiful and you'll play it time and time again.
