“Good concerto substitute”
Chris Hankin Just Flutes staff member - [email protected]
If you have a budding piccolo player then this is the piece in which to show them off. Graupner's writing has been arranged well, the lower parts just chuntering away with the harmony while the piccolo chirps away over the top. The key of G major makes the whole work really accessible and the piccolo (or flute) solo isn't too challenging but sounds impressive. Perfect!
Our Description
FOR SOLO FLUTE (or PICCOLO) and FLUTE CHOIR - Thought to have been originally composed between 1732-34, Uccellino Chiuso has been carefully reconstructed from original manuscript and arranged for flute choir with a solo flute or piccolo. The soloist trills and flutters about over a simple accompaniment in the flute choir.
