“Lovely Classical music!”

The Dutch composer Johann Wilms wrote these two lovely sonatas in about 1813 and both are full of life and energy. He was fascinated by sound and colour and so the instruments share the material equally. The elegant D major sonata has two fast movements which are happy and joyful and an Andante with a beautiful singing melody. The G major has an equally sunny outlook but with a darker slow movement Adagio in G minor. They are fun to play too!
