These three pieces aim above all to explore the poetical, evocative, almost magical character of the sonorities of the flute. The 1st Incantation is written for alto-flute in G, the two others for the flute in C. Although they were conceived as concert pieces and not with a pedagogical purpose, each of them will suit also as a study piece (especially for breathing, articulation and phrasing).
