The first two movements of this appealing trio are pitched beautifully. Marked piacevole, Strawberry flows along in a gentle 6/8. The sumptuous melody in Vanilla with Chocolate Chunk evokes the richness of the flavour. It's so sad when it's all gone! Green Tea Flavored is much more of a challenge, with the rhythmic complexities and quasi fugue really spicing things up. It certainly adds an interesting twist to the work's overall texture. This is quite an expensive purchase for a flute trio but in the long run it will pay its way many times over.
