“Vintage Quantz!”
Chris Hankin Just Flutes staff member - [email protected]
This atmospheric trio sonata by Quantz is full of beautiful and melancholy music. The opening Andante moderato sets the scene with interweaving melodies that are full of longing. The Allegro has a feeling of darkness with its modulations and rhythmic energy which is only partly dispelled by a major Larghetto. The rumbustious Vivace brings the work to a definitive closure. Vintage Quantz!
