From the Publisher
My home village, Moniaive in Dumfriesshire, is where the three glens of Dalwhat, Criagdarroch and Castlefairn meet. The scenery, weather and personalities are constantly changing and I hope to have reflected these changes in 'The Three Glens'. The rivers travel through isolated areas and finally meet in the village itself. The last movement ends in a ceilidh style, a typical celebration of the area and the people themselves.
A lyrical three movement composition for flute and piano reflecting some of the traditional and modern elements of Scotland today.
