Percy Grainger's vividly entertaining, lovely There Was A Pig Went Out to Dig (or 'Chrisimas Day in the Morning'), originally pulled by Grainger from Mason's Nursery Rhymes and Country Songs and freely set for women's (or children's) choir, is presented here in an arrangement for flute quartet by Matt Johnston. The equal timbres of the flute ensemble excel in both unified singing and in individual lines, though the flute quartet can take things a bit more quickly (or a bit more playfully) than the original choir.
