From the Publisher
Daniel Schnyder composed Tachyon, trio for flute, cello and piano for his friends Matthias Ziegler, Daniel Pezzotti and Simon Nabatov. The three musicians inspired him to develop a dramatic tonal language that is less associated with the traditional, more contemplative flute music, but rather combines formal ideas from Europe with American rhythms.
