From the Publisher
Allan Stephenson was born in Wallasey, near Liverpool in 1949. In 1973 he moved to Cape Town where he still works as cellist, conductor and composer. Stylistically his compositions belong to the English late romantic school, although modern rhythms and harmonics are also included. Stephenson's credo, that music should entertain and please the listener is always apparent.
