This last work by the composer, who was already visibly marked by illness, is - despite its genesis - an extremely joyful work, vocally and otherwise wonderfully suitable for being transferred to the flute. Originally written for violin and piano, it has been arranged for flute with care and consideration by Cordula Hacke and Ferdinand Neess, giving flutists all over the world the opportunity to study and perform this wonderful work.
