“This is fun!”
Chris Hankin Just Flutes staff member - [email protected]
This is a fun trio! It's tuneful, written in G major, there's not a semiquaver in sight, and all three parts are evenly matched. Starting with an a short Andante marked 'con grazia' the piece then moves into a rhythmic 'con moto' in which the syncopation of both the tune and the offbeat bass are held together by continuous quavers. The opening slow section is then repeated in a revised version before the 'con moto' brings the work to an ebullient end. Perfect!
