From the Publisher
In 1982 Karel van Steenhoven, founder member of the Amsterdam Loeki Stardust Quartet, wrote this modal composition Silent Danger for his ensemble. It is an experimental and witty work, a play on tones, chords, sounds and unusual effects. The idea behind it is described by Steenhoven as follows: 'As long as music is without aim, it remains free, versatile, is developing; when it seeks an aim, it becomes rigid, gets stuck in repeated chords.' - a rewarding task for performers, and a composition worth listening to for the audience.Performance duration (approx): 28
