Scandanavian Folk Tunes for Flute is a collection 73 arrangements of traditional tunes from Sweden, Finland and Norway. Scandinavian traditional music specialist and folk musician Vicki Swan provides notes on the history of the music, as well as playing techniques and styles. The pieces can be played solo, or as duet with another player. The volume is accompanied by a CD with a recording of all tunes performed by Vicki Swan, as well as access to MP3 downloads to recordings of many of the tunes played on other modern and traditional instruments. German and French translations of all texts are available as pdf downloads from the Schott Music website. Suitable for players of grades 3-8.
