“A lovely folk song from Japan”
Chris Hankin Just Flutes staff member - [email protected]
This would be a good first piece for a group with little experience of playing ensembles. A traditional Japanese song, the tune is lovely but quite repetitive so there's plenty of familiar material throughout the piece. The rhythms are easily accessible - again mostly repeated and played together. The first flute part requires leger line reading through but generally this is a nice gentle introduction into the world of flute quartets.
