From the Publisher

from the preface:

'The series Ensemble Dreiklang Berlin is an attractive collection of literature for recorder trio. The wide range of stylistically varied pieces features arrangements and original compositions for both classical and popular music with the various instruments of the recorder family being combined in different fashions. Through this professional presentation of sophisticated literature for recorder, Ensemble Dreiklang Berlin has introduced a new style in recorder literature which motivates and inspires young players and is also well received by the audience.

Rondeau, Bourree, Menuet and Badinerie are taken from Johann Sebastian Bach's 'Orchestral Suite no.2 in B minor, BWV1067' for flauto traverso, strings and baroque cello. The pieces are transposed to D minor for reasons of harmony and in accordance with the Baroque technique of transcribing flauto literature for the recorder.' Irmhild Beutler, Ensemble Dreiklang Berlin
