From the Publisher

Tuneful and wistful music by a Russian composer. The alto flute part and the piano accompaniment are both relatively easy to play. Recommended as an effective piece for an encore at the end of a recital, or a melodious item for a concert.

Karl Davidoff was a cellist and composer born in Latvia. He became Principal of the Russian St. Petersburg Conservatoire and played a Stradivarius ‘cello that is now owned by Yo-Yo Ma. An International ‘cello competition is now held in his name every year.
