Our Description
Erika's ragtime and St. Gall's ragtime were originally composed for a school orchestra. Because the pupils liked it, Alexander Hanselmann decided to arrange them for two flutes. The second part is an accompaniment part throughout and can therefore be omitted if need be. As to their form, the two ragtimes are identical: a short, pronounced intro is followed by constructionset-like themes, interlude and reprises. Like small ragtimes they should not be played too fast, but rhythmically exact and with accurate articulation.
