“A great arrangement”
Chris Hankin Just Flutes staff member - [email protected]
Also available: Debussy (arr Christiansen): Arabesque
The renowned flautist Toke Lund Christiansen has taken two very different pieces and given them star treatment. The Kuhlau Quartet is an arrangement of one of the flute sonatas and is a real workout for all the players. The material is evenly spread with even the alto flute having a lot of notes. The Debussy uses 3 flutes and bass flute resulting in a wonderful sonority and again the parts all take their turn. Christiansen really knows how to write for this combination and it shows here - music arranged by a flute player for flute players.
