From the Publisher
This is a composition with three movements for four flutes. The composer has had the instrumental tone colors in his mind under the work process. The three flute registers are looked after and used for all the performers. The musicians are all involved in the performance of the thematic material.
The quartet has a tonal profile – with clear orientationpoints. The minor and major second, minor third and perfect quart are important elements in the building of the melodic and harmonic details.
