“This is treat!”
This is a very appealing piece of jazz writing which just swings along in a laid-back manner. It uses cascades of notes and contemporary techniques as an integral part of the blues style and making it all sound effotless is not entirely straightforward. It's worth the effort though, as it's great fun to play and great fun to listen to - a real treat!
From the Publisher
"Promenade" (for Flute and Piano) by Eugene Magalif grew out of piano exercises written by the composer to develop his grandchildren's ability to play light jazz and easy improvisation. Later, it was expanded into two versions. The product here for flute and piano, and additionally a version for flute, piano, bass, and drum set.
