Our Description
This Model 5 Louis Lot, dating from 1908, was built under E. Chambille's ownership. This features an independent G# (closed G# system) and separate straps for the trill keys and main mechanism. The trill is to Bb.
This flute is in the original scale, untuned, with a solid 14k lip-plate re-cut by Ian McLauchlan.

As the choice of Altès, Taffanel, Hennebains and Gaubert, the Louis Lot flute was instrumental in the formation of the French concept of sound. Indeed, Louis Lot flute have been intimately associated with the development and spread of the French school of flute playing.
Because of their unique sound and feel, Louis Lot flutes have been much sought after by exponents of the French School).
