Vintage Louis Lot Solid Flute #23XX

Our Description

This flute is serial number 23XX, dating from 1877, early on in Villette's ownership. This period is highly sought-after by those players who are looking for an exceptional Louis Lot flute.

General Condition

This is a true player's flute! it was tuned by Sebastian Bell, who (as expected) did a superb job; at the same time, he converted the B-C spatula trill key into a more useful and modern style B flat trill key. The lip-plate on this flute is modern, possibly also by Sebastian Bell. This flute was purchased by the current owner from a Paris music shop in 1979 and has been played professionally for many years. We are listing it "as seen", meaning our workshop hasn't checked it over - however, we can confirm it plays beautifully!
