Vintage Selmer (Paris) Mk VI Silver-Plated Bass Saxophone
Our Description
The Selmer Mark VI is a professional model saxophone that is considered the Selmer Company's best saxophone and is preferred by many jazz musicians. These have included Phil Woods, Paul Desmond, Bob Mintzer, Wayne Shorter, Stanley Turrentine, Michael Brecker, Bob Berg, Sonny Rollins, Dexter Gordon, Stan Getz, Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis, Branford Marsalis, Dick Oatts, Eric Marienthal, Peter King and numerous others.
General Condition
This rare instrument is in exceptional condition throughout. It has been well looked after, and the silver-plating looks great for the age. It would benefit from a service, although it does play across the range. It's not often that a Mk VI bass sax is offered for sale, and even rarer for it to be in this condition.
