Manufacturer's Description
The Plaschke Okarina is made in South Tyrol according to old tradition since 1963, - made of clay (terracotta). In addition to harmonica, Jew's harp and Schwegel the Okarina is a typical trouser bag instrument, suitable for beginners and professional musicians. With the help of well-known Okarina-players and over 50 years of experience in the construction of musical instruments, we have managed to create an ocarina for the highest musical standards, with accurate mood, clear and easy response.
The okarinas undergo a rigorous final inspection to ensure optimum quality.
It was Franz Kofler from South Tyrol on the Ritten who introduced the Okarina to alpine folk music. With his participation, the workshop Plaschke improved the Okarina, which has since been used in folk music.
