The Pink Panther Theme for Four or more Flutes
- Great for teachers
From the Publisher
Henry Mancini became best known from the 1960s as a composer of film music. His most successful scores were for the films ‘Touch of Evil,’ ‘The Pink Panther’ and also ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ for which he won an Oscar for the song ‘Moon River.’
The groovy theme from the Pink Panther films and cartoons is well-known to many, and in this arrangement the close harmonies are enjoyable to play and listen to. The melody is shared between all players, although easy flute parts – and the alto and bass parts – allow players of all abilities to get involved. There is also the option to include extra techniques, such as finger-clicks and fall-offs. The extra percussion part provides rhythmic interest when performed on a triangle, snare drum or any household object!
