“Lovely music for any wind quintet”
Chris Hankin Just Flutes staff member - [email protected]
This good arrangement would make a really excellent introduction to this lovely music for any wind quintet. 'Morning" is in the original key of E major so the flute solo is as you would find it in the orchestral version, Anitra's Dance would be familiar to any flute player who took this option for grade 5 and Death of Ase is a good exercise in intonation and breath control. The excitement of In the Hall of the Mountain King is retained despite it being shortened, so it's therefore possible to perform with real commitment right through to the end. This will be played repeatedly be generations of quintets - it's that good!
Performance duration (approx): 13'
