“The original and definitive!”

Chris Hankin Just Flutes staff member - [email protected]

Robert Dick is the real deal in terms of contemporary flute techniques and this original and definitive guide is totally comprehensive. There is a great deal of explanatory text about each topic and an enormous number of fingering charts to illustrate the points made. There are 35 pages of multiphonic fingerings and 9 different ways of playing E for example, which tells you just how much information there is here. There are succinct descriptions of other skills such as jet whistles and whisper tones which are also valuable. Even if you are not fully engaged with this type of playing, just having a go will improve your embouchure flexibilty and you might even get hooked! For those who love it this book is all you need. If you can master everything suggested here no piece will ever scare you again!
