Here are three lovely arrangements by Franz Doppler of the best bits from three lesser-known operas. Preciosa by Weber, La Muette by Auber and La Dame Blanch by Boieldieu are all beautifully set for two flutes, with soaring melodies, stirring marches and lovely dances.
