The clarinet solo represents a kind of "concentrate" of the clarinet concerto 'Lilith'. Lilith was created before Eva and was the first woman. Like Lucifer, she rebelled against the divine order, removed herself from paradise and turned into the snake that triggered the fall. According to the Jewish-Babylonian legend, she appears as a seductress or as a nocturnal child-eating demon; finally she turned into a guardian angel for mothers and children.Item Details
