From the Publisher
Handel composed the Music for the Royal Fireworks to accompany a lavish firework display in London's Green Park in April 1749, to celebrate the end of the War of the Austrian Succession. It was originally scored for a huge wind band, with string parts added later. The movements here are La Rejouissance (Merry-making) and the Menuets. La Rejouissance may be played through any number of times with different dynamics/numbers of players as it would have been in Handel's day. Mini-bassoon and tenoroon parts are included, and easy parts for all instruments are also provided.
