The very successful book Moments of Swing is now followed by Moments of Latin with ten songs in Brazilian and Caribbean styles, such as the bossa nova, samba, calypso and merengue. The pieces are based on chord schemes from the common Real Book repertoire. In addition to these new adventurous melodies, the original themes of the pieces can generally be played over the accompaniments on the CD. The solo parts have been made to sound like improvisations, but chord symbols have been added, so that you can also improvise yourself. On the CD - apart from the live demo and play-along recordings - you will find the parts of the combo in PDF format.
