A beguine, or popular dance of the French West Indies. Written for the Paris-based flute trio, Les Enfants de Pan, this delightful work is great fun to perform. The title, literally translated, means "My Girlfriend Told Me..." and can be interpreted with as sassy an attitude as you want.
