From the Publisher

Isaac Albéniz , one of Spain's finest pianists, was a prolific composer for the piano. He used the guitar as his instrumental model and drew inspiration from the traits of Andalusian folk music without actually using folk themes. This piece is from a set entitled España (Spain) that was composed in 1890. The title Malagueña comes from the Mediterranean seaport city of Malaga.
