From the Publisher
Despite its title, the rediscovered 'Conzertstucke' op 97 for flute and piano from 1888 seems more like a miniature with a two-part structure. An introductory, melodically lilting Andante cantabile is followed by a lively, dance-like Allegro capriccioso, whihc ends in furious semiquaver triplet passages for the flute. The relative brevity predestines this 'Conzertstucke' as an effective encore in the programme for today's flutists.
