Klezmer for Flexible Ensemble
From the Publisher
Klezmer for Flexible Ensemble: Seven pieces from Israel, originally Songs and Dances, with authentic Hebrew titles. The word “Klezmer” is derived from Hebrew, and loosely translated means musical instrument. An eastern European tradition, Klezmirim (Jewish folk musicians) travelled from town to town to entertain at weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, and other occasions.
The music is in four basic parts with the “melody line” not always restricted to the top part. The score and parts 1, 2 and 3 include chord symbols so that accordion and keyboard players can play along too.
