This striking piece was written for a Scottish wedding and is quite unusual. The opening is atmospheric with the sound of distant bells from across the loch, the setting for the ceremony. This turns into a rumbustious dance with tumbling semiquavers passed around the upper flutes, all held together by the alto. Whatever the occasion, three good players will have a great time performing this!
