Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s beautiful Impromptu No. 2 in B minor, first published in 1911, received its world premiere recording earlier this year on Isata Kanneh-Mason’s latest CD, Summertime. The Impromptu was also performed as an encore by Isata’s younger sister Jeneba Kanneh-Mason at her BBC Proms debut in August 2021.
