This work is in five movements. The music was inspired by an examination tour of North-East India on behalf of the ABRSM and so a trace of the atmosphere and exoticism of the country and its people finds its way into the writing.
The work is dedicated to the memory of Atarah Ben-Tovim MBE, British flautist and children’s concert presenter, 1940 — 2022.
