This well-known Christmas tune takes on a new mood in this arrangement. The introduction employs some unfamiliar harmony to a familiar line in a slow legato passage. By surprise, the orchestration breaks into a presto tempo and continues through the remainder of the piece. There is a change from 2/4 to 4/4 with an elogation of the melody in the final section. This makes for a very interesting development while maintaining a constant tempo.
