Bryan Kelly’s versatile Globe Theatre Suite recreates eight baroque movements in the winning melodic style for which he is among the most highly regarded of contemporary composers for wind instruments. Of approximately Grades 4 to 5 standard, the pieces include a fanfare, bransle, air, jig, lament, two songs, and a rigadoon. Options for performance include descant recorder or piccolo, and the accompaniment may also be played on the harpsichord. Noted flautist Atarah Ben-Tovim has edited the solo part, and the Globe Theatre Suite may also be played in a transcription of the keyboard accompaniment for strings.
