Roz's notes: It's Baroque music given a modern twist. Georg Frederic Handel lived in the same house as Jimi Hendrix [a few centuries apart] and his music has much in common with jazz. This arrangement of his famous flute sonata in G is fun as well as being educational. It can be played by 2, 3 or 4 flutes:-
Flute 1 has Handel's original notes played with a swing and a very few changes to set the mood [needs high intermediate standard]
Flute 2 has a full accompaniment based on the original Basso [high intermediate standard]
Flute 3 is an optional rhythm flute [lower intermediate standard]
Flute 4 is an optional rhythm flute [lower intermediate standard]
Performance duration (approx): 3'20
Difficulty guide: 6-7
Difficulty level, roughly compared to ABRSM exam grades. 0 is total beginner, 9 is advanced (beyond grade 8).
