From the Publisher

Frenemies is about that competitive relationship between two colleagues who appear to be friendly, but they missed the memo about what friendship really means. Are they friends or are they enemies? It’s that awkward middle ground where, if the pair were not on the same level in their careers, they might be friends. Instead, they have to get along and work with each other while competing for gigs. There’s one-upmanship, hurt feelings, back-handed compliments, insincerity, gossip, and, of course, no one wins.

This piece was written for the composer’s friends, Mary Matthews and Mark Cramer. They would like everyone to know this piece is not about them. They are actually fantastic friends and care about each other very much.
