“Beatbox grooving!”
This is one for all those who love to beatbox! The bass flute is the star of the show here, holding the groove together, and the rhythms are exactly as you would expect from the title. Finger challenges will be of your own making in the space for a jamming session. It's addictive and fun, and if you are completely at home in this style you'll absolutely love it!
From the Publisher
The idea of writing a piece that shows the flute in a very rhythmic and above all percussive way matured while I was playing the bass flute in a flute quartet. I wanted to play an interesting and groovy bass line that was just fun.
In “four flutes grooving”, Flute 4 takes on the task of bass and drums at the same time through beatboxing. She is in the foreground, plays solos and has the responsibility to drive the "band" forward and to give it a foundation.
The piece offers the players a number of options for free design. There is a fixed framework for the piece, which, however, can be expanded with your own ideas if you want. Each ensemble can create its own version of “four flutes grooving”.
