Exercises and studies contained in this book have been written for the specific purpose of bridging gap between any one of a large number of good elementary methods now available, and the intermediate, secondary, or advanced methods and studies which may be obtained. The book is in no way intended to serve as a method or as a course of progressive instruction for the clarinet. This book may be used successfully for group instruction or for section rehearsals. When a number of Clarinets are involved, part will play the first half and part the second half which is an octave higher or lower.
