From a small, motivic cell in concise staccato - exposed in the piano at the beginning - he develops the entire musical material of the two frame parts of this work which is structured in a clear three-part form. In the middle section, Terschak concentrates on a rapturously lyrical melody with a large vocal arch, often in octave doublings between flute and piano. As the title suggests, an atmosphere of tongue-in-cheek prevails throughout the composition. Pointed and entertaining, this work is ideally suited for student concerts.
