From the Publisher
Heinz Holliger, whose Sonate (in)solit(air)e (FTR 175) has been a standard work of contemporary flute literature for a long time, now presents two further compositions, with (é)cri(t) acting as a virtuoso study on the dramatic power of expression of the instrument while the short trio pour Roland Cavin as a quiet dirge brings out the different chamber music colours of piccolo, flute and alto flute.
